Fun place to work excellent employees
Mailroom Employee, promoted to Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Harlingen, TXDecember 12, 2013
Pros: good place to start working to get your work history up
Cons: if short staffed then you must work longer hours sometimes even holidays
This job is a good job for somebody who looks to start building the job history but I wouldn't recommend you staying there for a long time just for a little while so you can get used to having a job but working there made me learn a lot and it showed me how to work on my people skills and it also taught me to get better acquainted with other employees

Great when hours are available for stringers.
freelance photographer (Current Employee), Harlingen, TXSeptember 5, 2013
Pros: they have nice lenses and a hard working team.
I'm just a stringer for the Valley Morning Star, but, I do enjoy taking pictures and going to events all over the Rio Grande Valley that I otherwise would not know about. The staff are all very helpful and are easy to work for and with.

Cons: didn't get the newspaper on time from the printers some days.
Delivering the newspaper was ok.I threw two different routes each day and didn't have a lot of complaints from the people receiving the newspaper.

productive workplace with equipment provided
Newspaper Carrier (Former Employee), Harlingen, TXFebruary 25, 2013
Pros: only a coulple of hours a day
Cons: early in the morning
Only 2 to 3 hours in the morning and then collecting during the day for 2 to 3 hours around 6pm. I learned social skills and how to throw newspapers correctly to where the customer wanted it placed. there wasnt really a difficult time with the job. the most enjoyable part of the job was throwing the newspapers to the houses and finishing in a good amount – more... of time and no mess up or misses of the houses. – less
