Charge Nurse, Newton, NJ - November 3, 2012
I feel this place changes rules when convenient for them . Seniority doesnt matter. This place is a revolving door especially the 3 to11 pm shift . 1 nurse to take care subacute rehab and longterm . You do admission and have no ward clerk after 5 pm . you treament and give meds and answer phones pick up orders and chart . And if an emergency happens your it with 2 or 3 aids not another license person to help you out nor ward clerk to make the phone while your with the residents. No supervisor in the building to ask question or to helpThey want you to call her at her house . See the picture. If 2 nurses in the building it will operate better. But owners feel 1 nurse could do it all. Oh you gotta stop what your doing if a M.d walks in the building to answer his questions but mean while you have this over whelm and sick feeling to your stomach. If no staff your mandated to stay requardless if have children or other jobs. This place has to much secrets between DON and Adminstor and a ward clerk . And nurses are last to know . Even the ward clerk has more say then the nurses. And they really dont play fair . They are very sneaky and a snake to work for .keep an eye how many times a sign on there front lawn looking for RN and lpns or cna show up . Or how many times it shows up on internet want aids. I feel they need more qualify personnel to run this place . Starting from Adminstration to DON. And owners of place should care more about employees then profit. And listen to there staff . Because without the staff they wont be were they are today .
