About Valley View Hospital
We are a 100% volunteer organization. We maintain a not-for-profit, tax exempt status through our affiliation with the hospital's Auxiliary.
Our main goal is to provide a healing moment to hospitalized patients and a sense of increased well being to all we visit.
We are part of the Valley View Hospital's Planetree initiative and as such, support – more... its mission statement. We make visits to the acute care and acute rehab department.
A team consists of the registered handler and animal. At present we are not using animals other than dogs. Handlers are usually, but not necessarily, its owner.
