About ValleyCare Health System
ValleyCare Health System is a private nonprofit tax-exempt organization that has provided health care services in the Tri-Valley area since 1961. ValleyCare is not publicly owned or operated, nor is it tax supported. Rather, it is owned and operated by a private nonprofit corporation that holds its assets in "charitable public trust" for the – more... benefit of the Tri-Valley community. The ValleyCare corporation reinvests any profits that it may make from operations in new facilities, equipment, and services, rather than providing them to outside owners in the form of dividends. ValleyCare also is exempt from taxation and is permitted to receive tax-deductible contributions from the community to further its mission.
