Mergers and Acquisitions
ValleyCrest has slowed down its expansion efforts recently, but over the years the company has grown primarily through acquiring regional landscaping businesses. In 2008, ValleyCrest acquired Pine Ridge Landscaping based in Virginia. The deal strengthened the company's presence in the lucrative Washington, DC-metro area. Also that year it purchased Concepts in Greenery (based in Florida) and Second Nature (a landscape maintenance firm located in South Carolina). In 2007 it bought Tropics North Landscaping, a landscaping maintenance firm based in Florida, and Scapes, based in Atlanta.
Michael Dell, founder of Dell, controls ValleyCrest with a 51% stake. – less
