Cons: very fast pase
Punch in fill orders, unload trucks, interact with co-workers, work as a team to complete a task. The hardest part of the job would be getting the job done as a team. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting the job done on time.

Sales Associate (Former Employee), Lansing, MIAugust 25, 2014
Pros: we had 30% discount on what ever we got there.
Cons: i was part time, the breaks were short, i only worded 30 hrs a week.
when i first get there in the morning i fix@put shoes on shelf ,make sure they are matching in color @in size. once that is done i go in back to see if there is any shoes to be put out, also price them,@ the ones that are on sale for that week,by the time i got done my helper would be coming in to help with customers and to keep shoes where they belonged.my helper was a very nice older lady,we were a team we got along very well,at the end of the day we chose on what we wanted to do to close the shoe department.the hardest part of that job was saying goodby to everyone when the store close down it was very sad .

Front End Supervisor (Former Employee), Virginia Beach, VAMay 7, 2014
Pros: great benefits
Cons: employees
Participated in staff and training meetings as assigned: help formulate strength-based plans for personnel to achieve goals.
Commendably executed the responsibilities and maintained all pertinent documentation for 25 employees as their supervisor sales activities, inventory-taking, evaluation of personnel, supervisory reports and customer concerns and inquires.

The job I performed daily helped me advance my supervisory skills as well as customer service and communication skills.
I really didn't have any issues with my job. i actually loved all the new possibilities my job offered me.

The most enjoyable part of my job was advancing my experience and abilities to perform other task.

Jewelry Manager (Former Employee), Doraville, GeorgiaMarch 31, 2014
I worked, at the now defunct, Value City, for almost 4 years.

A typical day was always something new. During my time there, I worked in 5 different departments. I learned everything from how to put out stock to different types of gemstones. Management was great and fun, to work with. I loved my co-workers. They were helpful, entertaining and loyal.

The hardest part of the job was during the holidays. We would get the busiest I have ever seen a store get... to the point that we were sometimes there until 1am. What I enjoyed, the most, about working there, was the large variety of people. It was a melting pot of employees.

My introduction to the retail world
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee), Vineland, NJMarch 6, 2014
Value City was the first retail job I had. I learned the domestic dept and developed my people skills. I learned cashiering in a different environment and pace. It was a fun environment and worked overnights on holidays which gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the 3rd shift world.

Forklift operator (Former Employee), Columbus, OHDecember 12, 2013
Pros: set schedule, decent pay and decent benefits.
Cons: i had to drive over 30 miles to work everyday.
This job was a good job, but they started downsizing and eventually closing most of their warehouses and stores. A typical day for me was loading or unloading trucks using a forklift or by hand. I also drove a double pallet mover, reach truck, and a cherry picker.
