Job Duties:

  • Supervise a team of 2-3 systems administrators and desktop support staff
  • Conduct weekly meetings supporting each team member on goals, tasks, and mentoring them professionally
  • Be a single point of escalation for tier 3 issues
  • Work with the Assistant Services Manager to resolve outstanding client issues
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve difficult technical problems and to update or develop new policies and procedures
  • Work with team members to streamline processes for service delivery
  • Configure Disaster Recovery software for local and replicated DR scenarios
  • Troubleshoot issues regarding backup systems and DR systems
  • Plan/implement changes to client Active Directory services and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Configure and migrate clients to public cloud services
  • Prepare and implement private cloud services
  • Review alerts and notifications related to hypervisor events
  • Design and reconfigure virtualization hosts for storage, networking, and performance
  • Manage and maintain virtual machines using virtualization management platforms including Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft
  • Update settings and configuration for SANs as required
  • Reconfigure power and environmental monitors
  • Assess and redesign remote access technologies
  • Create and update firewall and UTM security policies
  • Identify performance issues with IP Transit and resolve using well known network troubleshooting methods
  • Remediate internal LAN issues including Layer 2 and Layer 3 problems
  • Reconfigure Enterprise wireless LAN systems and troubleshoot security and performance issues
  • Reconfigure layer 3 routing issues on routers and UTM devices
  • Work with service providers to resolve performance issues and outages

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of supporting and implementing Microsoft Active Directory Services
  • Strong understanding of networking theory and application
  • Direct experience configuring Cisco switches
  • Knowledge of Exchange 2010/2013 design concepts, roles, and functionality
  • Ability to manage and support Exchange 2010/2013 messaging
  • Experience supporting Fortinet and Cisco firewalls
  • Experience supporting VMWare vSphere in a cluster configuration
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Backup Exec
  • Experience with EMC, HP, Compellent SANs a plus
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Hyper-V a plus
  • Experience with AppAssure and Storagecraft a plus
  • Understanding of various private and public cloud services required
  • Experience managing and implementing migrations to Google Apps and Office 365 desiredExperience configuring and supporting Virtual Desktop technologies (Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Citrix ) a plus
  • Backup solutions (Disk to Disk and Disk to Disk to Offsite using various software)
  • IT certifications such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP (preferred but not required)

Other Requirements:

  • You will need a valid CA Driver’s License
  • A vehicle with current insurance is required
  • You will need authorization to work in the USA
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years experience (or equivalent)
  • Supervisory experience required
