Unorganized and Unprofessional on every level.
Education Coordinator, Berkeley, MO - January 2, 2015
At Vatterott College, it's not what you know, but who you know. There is a continued atmosphere of promotions based solely on your relationship/friendship with a member of upper management. Over the past several years I've worked for that company, I've witnessed several management positions that require a college degree, being filled by employees with friendships/relationships with someone who is in a position to make hiring decisions. Many of the management positions at this "college" are filled by people who have no college degree and some who have never even earned any college credits. Some haven't even successfully been able to handle the lesser responsibilities of their entry level positions as well as their peers. After the position is publicly announced as being available, Management has already decided who they will fill the position with. The degree holding, qualified employees are rarely given advancement opportunities seemingly out of fear that they might hold people accountable for meeting the basic education requirements needed to continue in their current positions with the company. When I questioned why the Campus Director of the largest Vatterott campus in the company earned his position without ever earning a Bachelor's Degree, I was told that I could be fired for asking such a question, despite the fact that there was legitimate concern from degree holding employees about how the leader of the campus doesn't even meet the minimum education requirements of many of the people that he is in charge of along with not meeting the minimum education requirements for many of the positions that he hires for. The mismanagement and unprofessionalism reached a point in early 2014 that caused their largest most profitable program (Cosmetology) to lose its accreditation. As a result many members of staff lost their jobs in an effort for the company to make up for the loss in revenue.
