Understanding means over working the current staff. VCA also pays lower than any other hospital and does not truly care for employee health and wellness. Profit is key- but not for staff

Don't go over 5 hours before your lunch break or you'll get a talking to by management. Even if there's no coverage, if a dog is hit by a car your supposed to clock out and walk out. OT NOT ALLOWED!

Not sure if you've had the interview yet but they were very strict with the tattoos and piercings at the one I worked at if you worked in the front office. No visable piercings or tattoos, hair had to be a natural color and if you wore a sweatshirt/sweater with scubs must be underneath to not hide the logo and ONLY a vca fleece that you had to pay for if you wanted a jacket because it was always freezing in there. The ACA's and Tech's could pretty much do as they wanted within safety guidelines, big earrings are libel to get pulled out by an uncomfortable pet. Hope that helps.

Yes ACA's and Vet Tech's. Neither is a glam job but they are the ones that have most direct contact with the animals
