About Vermont Federal Credit Union
Vermont Federal Credit Union is a full-service, not-for-profit financial institution that has been serving Vermonters for over 50 years. Founded in 1953, the credit union was initially only able to extend membership capabilities if the person was working for one of our sponsor organizations or selected employee groups (SEGs). We now operate under a – more... community charter opening the possibility of membership to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in a variety of Vermont counties, as well as any of their family members. Those counties include: Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin, Lamoille, Washington, or Addison counties.
We strive to make a decided difference in the lives of our members. By getting to know you, we can provide ongoing financial education on an array of products and services that fit your unique situation. As a member of the credit union you have access to a full range of financial products with competitive rates and terms. You also have access to a knowledgeable and friendly staff, committed to serving our members, who will help guide you, and a commitment from us to operate by the cooperative principals that credit unions were founded on.
On the community front, Vermont Federal Credit Union is actively involved in charitable events to support our neighbors. Our board members and owners (YOU) are invited to participate along with our staff as we strive to make our community a better place for all of us. We participate in an annual and ongoing United Way Campaign to raise funds for nearly 60 programs that help children, families, individuals and seniors deal with a wide range of needs. We enthusiastically support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and March of Dimes through Walk America, Signature Chef's event and this year's Prematurity Awareness Campaign. We provide an annual scholarship for members who are embarking on their college careers.
