The Vermont Legislative Council is seeking a user support specialist. This person will work with the members of the Vermont Senate and House of Representatives, with legislative staff, and with the public. This person will support applications on the legislative computer systems, laptops and mobile devices. Users have a wide variety of computer skills and experience, so outstanding interpersonal skills are essential.
The specialist will support users both one-on-one and in groups, including legislative committees. Supported applications include Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Exchange, and other programs, as well as the Macintosh, IOS, and Android platforms. Candidates must have an associate’s degree in computer science or a related subject, or two years’ experience in user support. Experience with programming or databases is a plus, but not essential, and applicants without this added experience are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, permanent position. Salary: $17.80/hour, plus full State of Vermont benefits.
