VR was a great place to work. It's still a decent place, but the core values of the company has shifted now that the parent company that bought them 2 years ago are fully in control.
Many benefits have been cut or limited and there is no value placed on tenure. Multiple executives have made it very clear that long term employees are not welcome or required to stay and it is generally assumed that those said employees have a bad attitude. Otherwise, work-life balance is good and there are some benefits that have hung around and been added, such as Bagels on Mondays and snacks and fruit on Tuesdays, and happy hour on Fridays, though not many people show up for that one anymore. The place is also feeling very empty as attrition has been flowing steadily for the past year plus.
