Majority of staff is hateful
Certified Nursing Assistant, Tulsa, OK - April 2, 2014
A typical day working at the villages consisted of being yelled at for not being "fast" enough when one is performing tasks as fast as they can. Or being forced to work on a hall with no support that is physically impossible to do by yourself, and when asking for help, coworkers such as charge nurse and fellow CNAs think you are incompetent. I learned nothing at this facility other than they hire people who will cut corners and claim credit for something they had no part in. The managers were disrespectful and would not help like they say they will. For instance, I witnessed our D.O.N walk past 3 call lights at one point during the busiest time of day (meal time) and she proceeded to go to the nurse and demand that she find her aid to answer the lights.. Yet upon hire, they bragged about being a "team" where EVERYONE helps answer call lights. The only part of this job that I enjoyed was working with my patients. They are the only reason I stayed for as long as I did. I pray soon they hire better suitable people for the management positions including the positions of the nurses and aids. I would never in my life refer anyone to this facility in my life. The care provided by most CNAs and Nurses is horrible.
