Administrative Assistant (Current Employee), Sewell, NJ – April 10, 2012
Pros: great benefits, can advance from within after one year
Cons: raises aren't good (typically 2%)
Virtua is a great company to work for - reviews are fair and there is room for advancement (not so much right now in this economy). There are STAR values and I think Virtua truly does hire 'the best employees.' I think the pay could be a bit higher but the benefits actually offset that if you need justification. The work day is usually pretty busy - – more... if not, there is always back up work. I'm fortunate to have a fair and appreciative manager. THe most enjoyable part of my job is helping patients and my co-workers, who are nurses. – less
Accounts Receivable Rep (Current Employee), Mount Holly, NJ – April 7, 2012
a typical day at work begins with myself sending operative reports to our coders. Posting the charges once completed and working all denied claims and checking claim status of all other claims.
I have learned how to bill claims, how to use tools such as Navinet and Zirmed. How to read and understand contracts with the insurance companies. How to submit – more... appeals. How to know what is needed prior to submitting the claims.
Management is wonderful. They are very supportive of their staff and the education needed to help them continue to be sucessful in their current or future positions.
My co-workers are wonderful. We all work well together and make a great team.
The hardest part of my job is the non-contracted insurance companies delaying payments and certain medicaid companies not being direct when calling for information.
The most enjoyable part of the job is my co-workers, the physicians, the patients and the ability to help someone everyday. – less
