Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey (VNA) is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive home health care services. The VNA has devoted more than a century to delivering home health services to residents of Morris and Hunterdon counties and neighboring communities who want to return home safely following hospitalization or need a helping hand to remain in the comfort of home due to an illness, disability or advanced age.
When our first nurse, Anna B. Hillock, set out with her medical bag in 1898 to travel the crude roadways of Morristown, NJ on a bicycle, our organization became the first in the region to offer home nursing care. Today, a team of highly skilled Visiting Nurse Association nurses, many of whom are certified in much needed specialties, call on clients in more than 40 communities each day.
Medical science and technology have evolved dramatically since the VNA was founded in 1898. While the VNA’s pioneering nurses had limited resources at their disposal, today’s VNA encompasses a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists and other professionals who rely upon many specialized devices and wireless connectivity to achieve excellence in patient care.
At the VNA you are surrounded by people who are patient-focused and take great pride in what they do. As a member of the VNA team, you will enjoy a stimulating work environment, great benefits and a tremendous opportunity for growth. Whatever career path you choose — whether it is as a home care provider or as a part of the corporate support staff, you will have opportunities to develop and expand your career while making a significant impact in people's lives. Our organization has maintained an outstanding reputation for providing compassionate and progressive home care to the Greater Morris area of New Jersey, so the home care team member representing our VNA receive very warm welcomes.
