Admissions Representative, Longview, Tx - August 27, 2015
Each day at Vista I was required to make a minimum of 100-200 phone calls in an attempt to connect with prospective students. I scheduled appointments to meet with prospects and give them a presentation of the college and its educational programs. I also gave an in depth tour of the campus and its various departments of education. I enrolled students and completed all corresponding administrative paperwork.I followed up regularly with each of my students in order to address their specific needs to ensure that they were successful in their designated programs. Management was available for assistance but for the most part I was responsible for maintaining my own schedule and time management. My co-workers worked as a team to meet quotas set by management. The hardest part of my job was maintaining an optimal call volume. The most enjoyable aspect of my job was meeting with prospective students in an attempt to improve their educational and career opportunities. I learned many aspects of sales as well as client relations and interfacing with every aspect of college and program management.
