Manager (Current Employee) – San Diego, CA – September 10, 2017
Great place to work. Many chances for advancement for hard working emplyees. I started with Vista Hill after grad school and never left. We do great work with families each day which keeps me with this company.
Clinician (Former Employee) – Escondido, CA – September 12, 2017
My specific program was not good and just did not fit what I want/need for my workplace. Program manager did not practice or encourage or model self care -- group supervision was spent with rehashing her stressful time that week managing the district and county's needs instead of checking in with clinicians about their weeks at their schools. PM also spent an average of 3-4 months to sign and return one single BBS weekly summary of hours experience sheets, which was very, very exasperating for someone trying to get licensed who is also working in a position providing very minimal experience hours.
Overall, leaves a bad taste in my mouth for this company, but I know the company and other programs work wonders for other people.

Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) – San Diego, CA – June 7, 2017
Vista Hill is an amazing company to work for because you know the people working their really care about people and helping people in our community. They touch a life of lives and are doing great things! Being a non-profit the pay is low compared to other companies.
School-based therapist (Current Employee) – San Diego, CA – March 20, 2017
Vista Hill is a great place to work if you are an intern. The supervisors are intelligent, kind, and all around great people. The benefits are awesome - free healthcare and TONS of vacation. The downside is that the pay is pretty low. Licensed Clinicians only make $23 to start and interns $18.
Providing individual and family therapy services to children, adolescents and families for the San Diego City Schools.
Bilingual Therapist MFTI (Former Employee) – San Diego, CA – July 16, 2015
Case load was very manageable, gained valuable experience in working with children and adolescents. Management was excellent, but short lived. Enjoyed working out in the community. Challenges in addressing gang related concerns in the community.
Manageable case load, able to provide quality care, collaborated with school staff and family members.
Unstable contract, high management and staff turnover.
