A typical day starts by prospecting for new business to sell. Going door to door, shaking hands and kissing babies, cold calling on phone or drop mailing invitations at the doors of unopened business offering my services. 75% of Small Business owners open there establishment in person and 60% leave by 2pm. So prospecting must be done in the AM. Following up leads from inquiry the night before, qualifying leads, send NDA’s, forwarding financial information is the second part of my day. Third is meeting customers to show them business in person and last is going to new customer or listing appointments.
The hardest and most important part of this career is staying on top of your leads and advanced prospects that are heading toward closing the business transaction. It’s all about organization skill, time management and discipline to do it every day and not get backed up.
I like what I do, no two days are the same and I meet people from all walks of life each with there own tales of the “American Dream”. I feel with the change of government policy on small business this industry is coming to an end as we know it.
