Independent Source Inspector (Current Employee) –  South CarolinaOctober 21, 2017
Working as a independent contractor as a source inspector is great for semi-retired like myself. The flexibility to accept or reject assignments to fit my personal needs is great

Dont bother
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLSeptember 21, 2017
This job is going downhill and fast. At first it was fun; they play music, have games. But that's all it is fun. They were lucky if they got at least 5 sales a day with 30 reps on the floor. You basically work for free. You can't pay your bills working here. You also get no benefits. No holidays off, no sick days, nothing. If the office was closed you weren't payed either.
The whole company is a lie. They lie to you, they lie to the customers to make sales. Management doesn't care about anyone only how many sales you're making so they make more money. I was miserable everyday I went to work until I found a new job and was finally able to quit. Don't waste your time here it looks like a fun place but it's not fun at all.

Terrible experience working here
Cruise reservation agent (Former Employee) –  2950 lake emma rd suite 3020 Lake Mary Fl 32746June 18, 2017
A typical day at work would consist of a pep talk by your managers to ultimately and bluntly get the customers card information to push sales. The call center environment is blasted with very loud music that can be heard outside of the entrance door. Inside the entrance their is a ping-pong table and beanbag game to the agents display. The Reason for this as they say is "to keep our agents energized" when ultimately it makes the customer service experience very hectic. I did learn a few aspects as far as sales experience but this job isn't for you if you have no experience in sales. This company only trains the agents for 1 full day and then the next day put on the phones to take calls. The most enjoyable part of the job was taking a break from all the noise.
Pros
Free Redbull, Weekly pay
Cons
Headphones aren't provided without charge from your check, Low pay if you weren't pulling enough cards, Hourly pay below state minimum wage & offers commission

Not a great company to work for
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLJune 2, 2017
Basically we work for nothing. No sick holidays or vacation. If you were off you didn't get paid and that in included if the office was closed. The did not care about there employees. All they cared about is you being there t making calls and push sales even if you had to lie to get the sale

Management, Sales, Team Leader, Technician (Former Employee) –  Charleston, SCMay 11, 2017
VSC has some serious turnover issues.
Management, in Charleston anyway, is pathetic.
During my tenure, many employees were fired on a whim.
Performing your daily duties, making relationships with clients was best if management was left out of the loop.
Management lies to clients and expects the employees to cover up.
The company does provide a decent salary and very good benefits and is safety oriented.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Management is untruthful

Classic Call Center - Boiler Room
Telemarketer/Sales (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLJanuary 2, 2017
Not much opportunity here. You start at minimum wage. Commissions and spiffs are not exciting. Great for newbies to sales or non sales types.

Company has meetings which are basically a waste of time. No real training.

T/O's are a mix. Some will work hard for you. Most will only work for you untill they hit their quota. Once they reach that, their time is spent throwing bean bags and shooting pool or baskets.

Music is way too loud.

If you are unemployed, may be worth your time untill you find something substantial. Don;t look for a career , it doesn't exist here.
Pros
Was a beautiful new office
Cons
Parking is too far away, chairs are broken up, computers old and slow

Reservation Agent (Current Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLNovember 27, 2016
It is a call center but not your typical call center. There is music playing all day long to keep the good vibes going. There is also ping pong, pool, and basketball. Most call centers can be boring but this company is not. Good vibes good people. Plenty of people who are willing to help you close deals if need be. Strictly inbound calls so it makes it easier to upsell rather than cold calls. There is a quota to meet.....I mean which sales position do you know who doesnt have a quota to meet. The quotas are very realistic and easy. Great place to make money if you are very money hungry.

Reservation Agent (Former Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLAugust 15, 2016
They don't tell you that you have to meet quota during training in order to get your commission over your hourly pay. You find out about the quota after your first paycheck. You average about 29 hours per week at 8 hours per hour. So if you don't meet quota your paycheck will be 232$ for the week.
Pros
They are not strict on what you wear
Cons
You have to meet quota of 4, 360 per week in order to get commission over your 8$ per hour pay.

There really isn't much to say about the company because for the most part everything was done via email or phone. At first it seem to be fun but after you settle in, thats when you see the difference in the company

Great people, fun atmosphere, but no job security and commission pay.
Assistant manager (Current Employee) –  Lake Mary, FLJanuary 7, 2016
Day would include a morning meeting getting representatives excited for another day of work.Work was mainly answering questions for representatives and getting on their phone calls to close deals. I learned a lot about sales and how people work. The hardest part of the work day was trying to step away for a break but, for the most part, I didn't mind since I was in great company.
Pros
Fun people and excellent workplace music
Cons
Commission pay and job security lacking
