Be open with employees about changes before they happen. Do a legitimate pay analysis so that the description matches the actual job being done then adjust the pay.
Increase pay scale. coach management to become better "coaches", make Saturdays a rotating schedule to allow each employee at least 2 off per month. Working 4-6 Saturdays in a row is not at all pleasant for families and in the end was the reason I left my position.
Provide more information about other jobs within the company to encourage internal transfers.
