About the job:
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the estimating for projects for the Northern California office. This includes all conceptual negotiated budgets and hard bid estimates and interfacing with project managers, all support teams and client relations to achieve precise estimates. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Prepares both commercial and residential estimates as per bid procedures
Reviews drawings, specifications and owner requirements with Project Managers and Superintendents
Prepares general conditions cost and coordinates with Project Managers the monitoring process of all general conditions cost
Prepares cover letters and bid proposal, including the cost breakdown, clarifications, scope and exclusions
Responds to all subcontractor inquiries and prepares subcontractor evaluations and re-cap
Monitors, assists, critiques and prepares schedules, if required, for any estimates
Reviews all plans and specifications and permit set of drawings
Processes all RFI’s for estimating and job addendums

Have at least a minimum of ten years experience in the construction industry performing responsibilities equivalent to those listed above, including wood frame and preconstruction experience.
Have a minimum of five years in a management role
Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Project
Beginning to Intermediate level in Constructware
Intermediate level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print)
Have strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
Be able to work extended hours as required by project schedules, weather conditions or urgent circumstances
Pay extreme attention to detail
Possess a strong ambition to succeed
Have excellent written and oral communication skills
Have leadership and motivational skills
