Has its days and moments where it can be enlightening, other times alittle confused.
Security Officer, Fire & Safety Officer, and Admin (Current Employee), Vance, Alabama – April 24, 2013
Pros: i was a balance between management and security officers.
Cons: every job has a few of these.
I relate to my shift as a sergeant, making sure the needs requested are granted to the best of my abilities. I handle my paper work for my shift, and greet others with the advancement in knowing I am a good person and it will be a good day. I do new hire orientation classes and quite a bit there.

Very cultural and informative place to work.
(Supervisor), ARMED SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR, Center (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – April 13, 2013
Pros: meeting foreign and dignitaries from other countries.
Cons: working at a top 5 terrorist place.
Learning the different ways to save people lives. Attending free seminars. Co-workers were a bright and wise group of people. Hardest part of the job was nothing.

was a paycheck
Security Officer (Current Employee), Knoxville, TN – April 3, 2013
poor management. always varying in the schedules and receiving them way too late. if you want to wear a badge that has no meaning and have no authority then its for you. if you want any paid days off, forget it, doesn't exist with this company. no place to advance or move up in the company unless you want to be a supervisor and constantly doing everybody – more... else's job when they don't want to. would not recommend this job unless you wanted a paycheck. – less

Very interesting place to work with a diversity of resident interaction.
Courtesy Officer (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – March 31, 2013
Pros: there are a lot of business contacts.
Cons: no healthcare and have not received a raise in the past five years.
My typical work day can go from 0 to 100 in an instant. I have a lot of interaction with the residents of the high end condo that I'm contracted out for. I am responsible for monitoring building emergency systems and closed circuit cameras. I've learned that as long as you are abreast of policies and stay within the guidelines that have been provided – more... many situations are are easily rectified. Our management team is flexible but do abide by company policy and rules. The team that I work with is very supportive of each other and manage to put personal feeling aside to get the job done. The hardest part of my day is the down time. I enjoy job challenges and working through situations. The most enjoyable part of my day is when a situation is satisfied successfully. – less

Great place
Non Commissioned Security Officer (Former Employee), Irving, TX – March 8, 2013
Pros: team work, co-worker trust, management works with you, gain knowledge of new techniques everyday.
Cons: found no cons with this employer.
Everything is overall great. Management is great to its employees, team work is necessity to this job and I believe Walden Security gives 100% to keep the team work enforced. You can trust your team and co-workers to have your back, the hardest part of the job does not come to effect with this employer because you are provided with all the neccessary – more... tools to make everyday a good day. This was a enjoyable job because while working you gain trust with your contractor and employees within. – less

Security Officer (Current Employee), Dalton, GA – February 28, 2013
Pros: good crew to work with as well as good truck drivers
Cons: could be better pay and rules that make sense
A typical day at work is constantly checking in and out various trailers that come in, also signing in and out visitors that are looking for people inside the plant. Maintaining access control and filing out paperwork.

Pros: the two top managers
Cons: everything else
Was working with a different security company at the site i work for walden came in to take the contract and promised the employees that if we stayed with them we would be taken care of and have better working condition...well almost a year later and we are still waiting. Benefits suck, pay is to low for what we do, uniforms are cheap and fall apart, – more... no pay on holidays but have to work them
Really dont see any of us going anywhere...should have stayed with the other company... – less

If you want to feel like a receptionist... Take this job. All you do is make sure everyone is happy. All day everyday knowing that the pressure of losing your job is a mandatory feeling. I recommend not wasting time on this company.

OGETONTO – January 2, 2013

Happy New Year. Out of this speech I realized what type of work I am supposed to do if hired. Also it thought me of the situation I will undergo when at work and the type of people I will be working with when at work if hired. As a result, for me I am flexible and ready to work at whatever atmosphare with whoever will be with me. Above all, I will abide with the rules governing the company at all times. God bless.

Front Desk
Director of Security (Former Employee), Atlanta, GA – November 28, 2012
Pros: employees
Cons: management
Head the front desk operations, and security at a condo. I learned valuable lessons on property management, HOA's, and mortgages. Managment was hit and miss; you had some people that would go out of their was to help, and others who cared about themselves. My co-workers were hard working and excellent.

Productive and professional management services makes the job easier and its area's atmosphere more than enjoyable to work in.
SECURITY GUARD (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – November 13, 2012
Management works with its clients for convenience and the adjustment to specific sites is an easy transition. The best part about working for Walden is the personality, gratitude of the workers and clients - the people who we serve and secure.
