As I have worked shifts, The typical day would be preparing for guests. The sorting of menus, tables, buzzers and before shift meetings to start the lunch/dinner servings.
I checked guests in, seated them and also gave them the required spiel about African Culture, as well as answering any questions they may have had.
This being my first time away from my country. I had learned responsibility, punctuality, efficiency, time management, courtesy, bettering my communication skills as well as working under pressure.
The hardest time was not being able to give a guest exactly what they wanted. As any company would know, there is only so much you can do to go above and beyond.
The most enjoyable part was making everyday magical for guests and fellow colleagues.
Having the opprtunity to visit the theme parks whenever I desired.
