Ward and Smith, P.A. is seeking an experienced paralegal with detailed knowledge of personal injury and medical malpractice cases from inception through trial. Applicants must have the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should also be detail and multi task oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. The responsibilities include: Client intake, including requesting, organizing and maintaining medical records; resolution of property damages, wage loss recovery and extensive contact with clients and experts; researching medical experts; assisting the attorneys in the organization, investigation and resolution of personal injury and medical malpractice matters; drafting correspondence and legal documents; conferring with all parties involved; keeping schedules; maintaining files; preparation for hearings, mediations and trials. Applicants should have above average technology skills and a minimum of three years paralegal experience. A college degree in Paralegal Technology or Business is preferred.
