The Carphone Warehouse Group PLC is an independent retailer of mobile phones and services, with over 2,400 stores in nine countries. The business divisions of the Company include retail (including online), insurance, ongoing and mobile. The retail division includes the provision of mobile handsets and connections, accessories, and related products and – more... services. The insurance division includes the provision of insurance products covering loss, theft or damage to mobile handsets. The ongoing division include the average revenue per user (ARPU) sharing agreements with networks. The mobile division comprises reselling mobile network capacity and developing brands. During the fiscal year ended March 29, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company launched Best Buy Mobile, an independent mobile retail format in the United States, and the Geek Squad, a home technology support business in the United Kingdom. In fiscal 2008, the Company opened 267 net new stores.
