Wargaming.net is a privately held strategy game development company founded in 1998.
In early 2000 Wargaming.net launched its first commercial game - DBA Online, which developed into intensive online community. DBA Online is a niche game, oriented mostly to miniature wargamers and devoted fans of ancient and medieval periods.
Running DBA Online for many years demonstrated the potential of online community-oriented games so Wargaming.net makes strong emphasis on the multiplayer aspect of its games, providing handy software and web tools as well as specially trained community moderators and support staff.
Wargaming.net's next gaming project was Massive Assault, a global domination strategy set in futuristic sci-fi world that was released in October 2003. The game utilizes Wargaming.net's proprietary high-performance 3D engine, providing fascinating terrain, unit and effect graphics. Massive Assault was highly acclaimed by game critics and players winning numerous editors' choice awards, including "The best strategy game of Year 2003" award from Absolute Games. Massive Assault boxed edition reached thousands of players from, but not limited to the following countries: USA, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Australia, New Zealand, China, Russia, Poland, Brazil, etc.
In April 2004, Wargaming.net enriches games' market with Massive Assault Network, an extension of original Massive Assault game that is designed for online strategy gaming audience. The new formula of instant availability by means of electronic distribution already increased brand awareness and number of Massive Assault series fans. Massive Assault Network was the fastest growing gaming project of Wargaming.net with several hundreds new players coming daily.
Further reinforcing the company's progressive capabilities, Wargaming.net released Massive Assault: Phantom Renaissance - the sequel to its highly acclaimed turn-based strategy game Massive Assault. Massive Assault: Phantom Renaissance greatly expands Massive Assault world and give the game's fans much wider variety of strategic choices.
In November, 2006 the company released Massive Assault Network 2 - online only TBS game. It is based on the legendary Massive Assault series from which it inherits the best elements: original "Secret Allies" concept, streamlined turn-based gameplay, perfectly-balanced unit parameters, state-of-the art interface and endless replayability.
Recently Wargaming.net has finished developing Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, a turn-based strategy based on famous sci-fi universe by Strugatsky Brothers. Galactic Assault offers a revolutionary tactical combat system, more than 70 unique units of great power and high-definition visuals that will immerse players in a horrendous story of war and survival.
In November, 2007 Wargaming.net carried out a merger with Arise, an independent PC game developer. Currently the united company operates one of the biggest game development studios in Eastern Europe. This merger enhanced Wargaming.net's position as the leading strategy and RPG developer. With all resources almost doubled, the company is able to put more energy into creating cutting-edge proprietary technology and building new brands.
The company strives to push creative and technical boundaries, developing cutting-edge technologies to bring life to its games. The team consists of talented professionals highly experienced in game and commercial software development, so the team is disciplined and effective with strong code quality and project timing concerns.
Wargaming.net is constantly expanding its network of business partners and welcomes investors to benefit from funding its future gaming projects.
Wargaming.net's strategic goal is to eventually become the leading developer of high-quality military strategy games, and to keep bringing "Strategic Satisfaction" to our players, of course! – less – More from ZoomInfo »
