Lifeguard, Stillwater, MN - January 29, 2016
Working at Square Lake as a lifeguard is pretty uneventful. 99% of the time patrons are kind and respectful and the lake almost never gets too full. Sitting in the sun rotating every 20 minutes did get exhausting and quite often I got bored watching one person swim in the water for 3 hours but overall this was a very pleasant experience. My managers and coworkers were very quiet and didn't enjoy conversations while on break. I was required to be ready for medical aid and filed reports on traffic and any medical aid given. Facilities were well maintained. Every Wednesday morning we were required to come in 2 hours early for additional training to keep fresh. All of the best technology was provided for us.
