At Washington Radiology we pride ourselves on our outstanding professional, technical, and support personnel. Our practice is composed of board-certified physicians and over 220 staff members who provide diagnostic imaging and support services to patients and their referring physicians throughout metropolitan Washington. Our technologists are highly – more... trained professionals who are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. The members of our staff make every effort to provide information about our services and procedures and to make each patient feel comfortable and at ease during his or her visit to our offices.
An essential component in our commitment to providing high quality care is our medical equipment. WRA continues to upgrade equipment to ensure that we remain on the leading edge in the field of medical imaging. All of our equipment is calibrated and inspected on a regular basis. Our facilities were among the first in the Washington metropolitan area to receive accreditation for providing screening mammography by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in conjunction with the American Cancer Society. WRA later became certified by the FDA under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (1992). In 1996, WRA became the first radiology practice in the nation to be accredited for general and obstetrical ultrasound by the American College of Radiology.
