Productive and fun place to work
Lease Production Assistant (Current Employee), Rockville, MDMarch 23, 2014
Washington REIT is a very relaxing place to work. The company is going through a positive transition at the moment and the future looks very bright. I work exclusively for the leasing department and am consistently busy which can be very challenging at times. The most enjoyable part of my job is there is a lot of laughter yet we get our work done because we have a strong team who work well together.

Nice company with a nice compensation package. Not a lot of room for advancement though.

PROS
If you need a breakfrom a professional management company, then apply. WRIT rarely gets rid of people so you can relax and take a break from the real world but don't stay too long or you will get complacent like the majority of the company's employees.

CONS
no advancement opportunities

upper management lacks creativity

HR should be renamed the CR (corporate resources)

no values or moral obligations to it tenants, employees, or investors

no support system

no professional training programs

a lot of back door politics

unorganized

discouraging

company culture = unprofessional uncouth sedentary bottom of the barrel "professionals"

keeps poor performers and celebrates mediocrity

- I'm 99% sure that hr posted the only other post

I Loved Working Here and Regret Leaving
Tenant Coordinator/Office Manager (Former Employee), MTC 1 & 2 in Greenbelt, MarylandMay 6, 2011
WRIT is a great place to work! It offered a great work/life combination for me and management was very understanding that there was life outside of work.
