DUTY ADMINISTRATOR, Titusville, FL - January 14, 2017
Washington Square is a residential home for the mentally and physically handicapped. I enjoyed being an advocate for each resident as well as managing the employees who worked with each resident. Every day was different as each need could continually change. The most difficult part of my job was when a resident passed and ensuring that the family was notified and their requests were carried out to the tee. The most enjoyable part of my job was getting a response from a resident that could not speak but would use other parts of their body to communicate with me, i.e., their eyes, an arm would raise, or a simple smile. I had a strong supervisor and we worked as a team to meet the goals of each resident and Washington Square as a whole.
