I. Job Summary
The Production Scheduler assist each facility in maintaining daily production schedules, maintains detailed daily truck schedules for each facility, notifies transportation of needed equipment requirements according to load schedule on a weekly basis, and champions large group projects.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with Plant and Productions Managers on production schedules to assure schedules align with trucking schedules..
Work closely with sales to coordinate when demand exceeds capacity and/or capacity exceeds demand.
Work closely with transportation to assure outbound trucks are scheduled and communicate to the facility levels
Review six-month rolling forecast to monitor and maintain established inventory levels of products.
Maintain working knowledge of load configuration by facility and schedule accordingly
Provide backup for other product line scheduling activities.
Produce daily reports as necessary.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities generally required.
Have a working knowledge of the capacities, load configurations, and forecast plans.
Need good organizational ability and attention to detail.
Competent PC computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
A. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Some secondary education preferred.
Prior scheduling experience.
B. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn and communicate technical information related to product line.
