A typical day was enjoying the work done with other department directors to identify problems/solutions and improving work flow/processes. In my position I was able to participate in sotware/hardware contract review and negotiations. We selected and implemented new technology such as virtualization, auditing software and new a new phone system. I did – more...  work well with co-workers as a team. I can not say enough for the support management provided for purchases of hardware and sotware and dring ntthe implementation of the HIPAA Security/Privacy Rule. The hardest part of my job was manipulating the resources to support the many systems the clinic had installed. We were able to provide support, upgrade and, upgrades in a timely manner. I enjoyed the changes taking place in the technology, regulations, priorities and, preparing the capital/operational budget. – less

It is extremely difficult to get a job at Watson. You have to know someone on the inside, but beyond that, there is actually very little cronyism. Salaries are competitive and benefits are decent. A great place for students, they are generally good about encouraging growth and advancement.
