Cons: handbook was thrown out, guidelines were not given for employees responsibilities.
My days consisted of managing the dietary dept., training new employees, updating current employees of changes, office procedures including posting job descriptions, making changes to scheduling, patient diet records reviewed and assigned to dietary aids, banking procedures and managing crew positions daily.
I've learned more about management, caring – more... for patients dietary needs and hospital policies.
My coworker were overall great employees that met challenges with a positive attitude, some would see challenges as a problem but with a little instruction would see it wasn't that much of a crisis.
The hardest part of my job was a lack of communication between management when changes were made and the most enjoyable was being able to make work fun by posting positive quotes, brainteasers, quizzes and just making people laugh to lighten the day! – less
