Program Coordinator (Current Employee), Detroit, MIJune 19, 2014
Pros: fitness center on campus
Cons: time keeping policy
A typical day is short and busy. I've learned change is necessary. We have changed management several times within 2 - 3 years. I work very well with my co-workers. The hardest part of my job is not having enough hours in a day to complete my work. The most enjoyable part of my job is the relationships I've developed over the years.

Great work place with team enviroment
Accounting Clerk/Front Desk Clerk (Former Employee), Detroit, MIJune 19, 2014
Pros: luncheons
Cons: no windows
I truly enjoyed working with the staff at Wayne State University Accounts Payable department. As a team in Disbursements we achieved every goal we set out to accomplish. I was promoted in a short time to the front desk. I learned the process and steps taken to pay various bills and distribution of funds for the university. The hardest part of the job – more... was leaving. The most enjoyable part of the job was the disbursements team. – less

Pros: good pay for amount of work
Cons: temporary
This job is able to give something boring like just filming a lecture to make it interesting in the stages of post-production. I have had a great time working for this organization.

Student Assistant (Office Support) (Former Employee), Detroit, MIMay 21, 2014
If you want to wate your life then work here. Management is very textbook and often doesn't even know what is going on. Student Workers do the majority of the work but get littel credit.

Department followed unfair practices
Assistant Director of Housing Operations (Former Employee), Detroit, MIApril 16, 2014
Pros: fun co-workers
Cons: incompetent management
I was hired into a position where inadequate training was provided. As a result I was unable to effectively learn my job. While off on FMLA, my previous supervisor provided an unfair evaluation and I was forced to resign in lieu of termination as an at will employee.

Manager (Current Employee), Wayne State UniversityApril 14, 2014
Wayne State is a fun place to work with great benefits. All my co-workers are easy to get along with. Their benefit packages include free tuition for employees and reduced tuition for family members. I am always being challenged to exceed expectations to make the University the best place for our students.

postdoc at Chemical engineering (Current Employee), Detroit MichiganApril 6, 2014
Pros: have rich free time
Cons: no lunch and no house
I can learn many new skills in polymer, nono materials and synthesis such as using all kinds of instruments. Also I will supervise graduates and undergraduates for their thesis.
My previous job is about organic synthesis and now polymer is the closed book to me so I must spend more time. When I get a good results of an experiment and praise from my – more... boss, I will enjoy it. – less
