Senior Architect, Bangor, Maine - August 30, 2011
This office is located in north central Maine where there really isn't much happening. The office is very poorly managed as a very large company rather than a small medium sized A/E firm. They take full advantage of their location and lack of opportunity in the region by paying very low wages without opportunity for raises. The projects on which they work are small relative to other firms of similar size. The architecture department is managed by engineers who have no vision or significant talent. Their current CEO is an Architect, but he seems to be mote interested in playing golf and attending rotary meetings than in promoting talent and good design. Similarly, the COO is more interested in spending company resources on computer systems than investing in the companies most valuable asset, its people. Overall, this is not a good company to work for.
