We are seeking a candidate to directly manage and maintain our Cloud Storage and Cloud Computing infrastructure which have seen tremendous growth! Help run the backbend infrastructure used to power hundreds of thousands of live websites. Work with the latest hardware and software used by all Cloud providers and learn about all of the latest technologies.
You will be part of a very small team who:
Maintains large storage arrays such as EMC/Isilon NASs, Equalogic SANs, FusionIO ION clusters, GlusterFS clusters, and other platforms. You will be responsible to ensure the daily optimal performance of these systems, plan for and implement capacity upgrades, roll out new production clusters globally, provision new clients, and configure all related software. You will be responsible for the proper backups and redundancy of thousands of servers and will be tasked to find new and innovative ways to accomplish challenging tasks.
Maintain large farms of hypervisor servers running Vmware and Xen. Installing and configuring new hypervisiors, managing cluster capacity, provisioning new VMs, provisioning private clouds, provisioning new kits globally.
The ideal candidate will:
-Maintain 1-5 EMC/Isilon clusters in 2 months time
-Manage existing backups software within 1 month. Propose, implement, and roll out a new backup software platform within 6 months
-Convert a cluster of 30-40 legacy hardware nodes into a GlusterFS cluster in 2 months time.
-Be able to properly install and configure new hypervisors into existing clusters within 2 months time
