A typical day is there is no typical day. You are working with students who are coming from various backgrounds with a variety of baggage on their shoulders. They need you to listen, to entertain, to motivate, to yell at, to remember them, to pay attention, to love them, and to set boundaries. If you are truly called to love students, young people, this is an incredible experience. You will be challenged, there will be difficult days, but you will definitely feel as though the work you do everyday is necessary and that is rewarding.
