Lawn Care Technician (Current Employee) – Albion, NY – January 23, 2018
A lot of walking and being out in the Sun and other weather elements. Freedom, and no time constraints are the biggest perks of the job. Complete your route for the day and you can head home. Commission pay scale based on daily production.
Production Manager (Former Employee) – Middleton, WI – January 9, 2018
They promise opportunities for advancement, but unless you have a +4 year turf degree or are friends with the owner, you will continually be passed over for new positions by younger, less experienced people. They do not care about the time that you put in away from your family when working +60 hours a week during peak times. There is little to no guidance for new managers, you are thrown into things and expected to figure out all issues that come up on your own. They have increasing cut technicians pay to make sure they maintain their bottom line. They only care about how much money goes into their pockets, rather than the customers or employees as they claim.
PTO days increase with years worked.
You are expected to put the company first over everything else in your life.
Overall an enjoyable and challenging environment to work and it was a nice experience to have.
Marketing Specialist (Former Employee) – West Conshohocken, PA – January 7, 2018
The working environment was a new experience for me, having to go door to door with a team to generate leads for our company was enjoyable for me as I jumped right in. Reaching my quota for the day early was the easiest part of the job but the best part was being able to exceed my quota and gain more leads than required. The hardest part was the late nights, but we were never forced to work longer than needed.
Chemical treatment of lawns, worked with aerators in order to encourage turf to grow. Drive time could be stressful and some days are longer than others. Often had early mornings especially in the Summer. Management is very fair and over all this is a good job.
Work at your own pace, little micromanagement, work is available, not many weekend mandatory to work unless requested
Often worked alone with no one to talk to but this is not necessary a con.
