I was recently hired by the company and start in a few weeks. Just had a few questions for anyone who may work there or may have previously worked there?
What type of training do they use?
Is there a background investigation?

A number of employees are hand-picked for certain meetings and projects over and over again and this is unprofessional. How the picking is done behoves me, but unless the information from the meetings is shared among all the staff. this can initiate division and a breakdown of soladority among associates. Everyone should get an opportunity to attend.

Anthem was a "Great Place to Work", but Wellpoint would put every continental employee out of a job if it would add 15 cents to the stockholder's bottom line. 4 Billion dollars of profit and they will outsource every job to make 1% additional profit. The people they are getting rid of in Youngstown are the Anthem people who made the company profitable enough to merge with Wellpoint. Well point is making decisions for short term profit at the expense of people's livelihood and the future of this company. Read the story of Enron, replace the word Enron with Wellpoint and you'll see they are following Enron's plan for greed and financial ruin. See if the Wellpoint name has any credibility, or profit, in 5 years.
