its a great place to work with the right people and management
Cashier (Current Employee), Gilbert, AZ –
Pros: the crew
Cons: managers and unfair work condition
I dislike it all together the work is very easy and can be abussed by manager. I've learned a lot cashier, stocking, spanish, and outstanding customer service. I dislike management because the crew works harder and yet get paid less. The crew/coworkers are awsome and fun to be around besides the ones who have been working there for years trying to be the – more...  boss. The hardest part about the job is dealing with management whom have no idea what they are doing yet put all the work on the crew and gets to sit around,be lazy, and tell everyone else how to do there job. Only the crew and customers you grow to like plus the pay because we all have bills and now for me at least is the inspection because I get to see the shoe on the other foot as the management goes into a panic when it comes time for them to be told what to do. – less

Easy going and fun work place!
Cashier (Former Employee), Pensacola, FL –
Pros: half priced food!
Cons: no healthcare benefits.
Wendy's taught me patience as well as the joy of working with others. Wendy's is definitely a place to grow as far as working as a team. There is one downside of working to wendy's which is the minimum amount of benefits offered. Besides that I would definitely recommend this job to any young person looking to adjust to the working world.

Stessfull and disrespectfull
manager (Former Employee), Robertsdale, AL –
Pros: free food up to $8 and life insurance as managers
Cons: as manager you have no breaks no matter how long you work, no health insurance, very stressful
A typical day at work will have you ripping your hair out and making you want to scream. I have learned many people are rude towards other who work in fast food and the people you work for tell you and theother team members that they are replacable. Also I have learned that even though you try to be respectful and turn in a two week notice that the – more...  dont let you do the two weeks they tell you that they are just going to let you go early. – less

Great skills learned even without the much needed managerial assistance.
Crew Member (Former Employee), Eagle, ID –
Pros: developed some great job skills
Cons: irregular hours, frequent manager turnover, poor managerial structure.
A typical day at work:
A lot of chaos and lack of structure due to lack of managerial supervision/involvement. A great first job to develop job/related skills as stated below.

Things I learned a lot from this job:
-Sharpened my customer service.
-How to be able to work as a team and individually.
-Heightened my communication and leadership skills.

Managagement:
-Lack – more...  of on a day-by-day basis.
-Some were very unprofessional and picked favorites(sometimes I had to run two peoples jobs as they took an employee to watch videos on their phones during rush).
-Frustrating

Co-workers:
-Fun
-Stress relieving
-Serious
-Could get work done

Hardst part of the job:
-The days managers were uninvolved. Rather frustrating overall not an unbearable job.

Most enjoyable part of the job:
-Making time
-Delievering customer satisfaction – less

Productive, Fast Paced Enviroment
Restaurant Manager (Former Employee), Highlands Ranch, CO –
Pros: benefits, free lunch, 50+ hours a week
Cons: horrible communication, constantly short handed, underpaid management
Cash Management, Crew and Labor Management, Prep/Re-prep, Customer Service, Waste Management, Oversee Daily Shift, Ensure Food Safety and Proper Training. Hardest part of the job is keeping a tight shift running throughout the day when dealing with call off's or being understaffed. The most enjoyable part is creating that "family" bond with crew and – more...  getting them more involved and excited about their job's – less

Busy, consistent
Cashier (Former Employee), Billings, MT –
Pros: food discounts
Cons: no benefits
I normally worked cash register taking orders and completing transactions. I learned new things almost every day preparing or learning new food recipes. The coworkers were fun and outgoing and it was a team effort. I loved the consistent customers that came in to keep me busy.

Pros: dicount of meals
Cons: must be very flexible
Wendy's is a great company to work for if you want to move up in the business. Managers make great money there. But you have to be able to handle a fast past pace environment.

A job you need no qualifications for
Crew (Former Employee), Cullman, AL –
Pros: half price on certain items, generally relaxed atmosphere when not busy, good coworkers.
Cons: limited choices of discounted food, poor management (sometimes), and understaffing.
This job is the bare minimum for most people. It's generally the same thing every day. They train you on one thing at first and keep you there until they need you to do something else. They generally have no drug tests, and a criminal background is fine. The management can range from very friendly to outright hostile. The co-workers can be your best – more...  friends, though some may be scary due to their background.
The hardest part of the job is pleasing certain managers. Some managers require things that others don't. Learning what each manager expects of you can be difficult.
The most enjoyable job is closing the store. You can work hard and get out soon. Closing requires the same thing every day. Certain things must be cleaned/replaced and if that's done, everyone's happy. You don't deal with customers much, so your job is mostly what you care about. However, closers are sometimes treated as second class citizens. – less

fun work environment
Cashier (Former Employee), Miramar, FL –
Pros: i have the opportunity to have the job
Cons: having to work off the clock
a typical day at work starts with me clocking in, then i make sure my station is clean fully stocked and ready to rock in roll. I learned how to work in a fast pace environment, how to handle any situations calmly dealing with customer making sure at the end they leave with a smile on thier faces. the management is just fine i like the management because – more...  they make sure all of their employees are okay, happy and and ready to work. I have fun working with my co-workers interacting with them working together so that the customers get good and fast service. the hardest part of the job was actually nothing everything that i was taught i was able to pick it up and apply as i worked day to day. The most enjoyable part of the job is basically having it and getting payed so that i can take care of home. – less

Cool worlplace with varieties of people!
Team Leader (Current Employee), Hampton, GA –
Cons: this job has no benifits
A typical day at work is busy never resting and always on your feet which is a good thing. What I learned from working at Wendy's is that you can't always please everybody and that patience is the key to everything.Mangement is not detestable but medicore. My co-workers are like family I can depend on them at work and outside of work, they make the workplace – more...  very pleasant and fun.The hardest part of my job to be honest is when things are lagging and slow I love being on my feet and hate slowing down. The most enjoyable part of my job is the customers they are usaully regulars and fun to interact with they also make the work place very pleasant. While many people may see Wendy's as deplorable I see it as a peculiar way to interact with people. – less

The hardest part of the job
Front Counter (Former Employee), Apple Valley, CA –
Pros: good managers
Cons: short breaks, discount.
The hardest part of the job would have to be rush hour. Mornings, afternoons, and nights were the toughest because your working in a fast pace area. Its called fast food for a reason and you want to make sure you give the costumers your full and top service while making sure your speed is fast paced.
