The ASP.NET/C# developer is responsible for providing programming and SQL Server database support to our clients. This includes developing new C# objects, interacting with SQL databases, managing a project queue, inbound support requests, making outbound follow-up phone calls, documenting issues prior to and after resolution, code optimization and other techniques. It also includes ensuring Service Level Agreements are met. The ASP.NET developer must ensure customer issues are handled with the proper priority and escalate to managers, administrators, and third parties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement an ASP.NET driven web application pages
  • Develop client side code using JQuery or Prototype
  • Document incidents during investigation and after resolution
  • Understand and be able to explain the ASP.NET event lifecycle and order of events
  • Provide customer support via email
  • Obtain knowledge from senior developers in order to provide better support
  • Work on multiple activities and issues as workload requires
  • Work on moderately complex tasks, projects, activities or projects
  • Communicate with managers when unable to accomplish a development task
  • Other Primary Responsibilities may be defined at a future date
  • Work with system administrators & application support staff to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Document procedures and processes within the coding environment
  • Suggest efficiencies to Management
  • Escalate issues to managers, administrators, and third parties

Education / Prior Experience Required:

  • 2-4 years equivalent work experience
  • ASP.NET development experience beyond Page_Load
  • Full utilization of User Controls, Master Pages, Object Oriented Programming & the ASP.NET Event Lifecycle
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Excellent customer-service skills and ability to empathize with customers
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
  • Eagerness to learn new software, hardware, and technologies
  • Highly self motivated and directed
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
