I was very disappointed
CSR in the call center, Commerce Twp, MI - October 6, 2015
I have worked in several call centers for many years as a CSR and a supervisor. I was commuting an hour one way each day to work at a call center in Troy and the commute was becoming a problem. When the opportunity to work here came about I was very excited and it was only 15 minutes from home. I was told you would work 10 hour days four days a week which was what I was doing at my other job. I was also told the job was taking orders for flowers. Sounded pretty cool. Boy was I lied to. First it's more than ten hours a day and more than four days a week. The management there was extremely unprofessional and seemed to be very poorly trained with very little personnel management skills. The main lie was what the work would be. The job was not taking orders-it was strictly resolving customer complaints. And there were TONS of them. They also don't tell you that most orders are taken by a call center in India. And they did an AWFUL job at taking orders. So your job was to sit there for 12-14 hours a day getting screamed at by people who didn't get their flowers for Granny's funeral. And all you could offer them was up to $100 in online credit. You couldn't even give them a refund. You can make a lot of money there but it just wasn't what I was looking for since the job was not what was advertised.
