Job Description: Receptionists assist the doctors, technicians, and managers in performing the daily, administrative tasks of the hospital, including but not limited to:
-Opening and closing procedures
-Fielding frequent incoming and outgoing phone calls
-Assisting clients who have an appointment or walk-in for products or services
-Assist technicians and doctors in light restraint
-Maintain cleanliness and neatness of reception area and office in general
-Provide exceptional customer service
-Part to full time with some weekends
Interpersonal and Job Related Skills: Ideal candidate will have some veterinary experience (preferred but not required), be able to efficiently juggle several responsibilities at one time and prioritize appropriately, able to quickly learn the nuances and generalizations of the clinic's veterinary software program, able to communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal form, have solid phone communication skills, be able to interact with staff, supervisors, doctors, and clients in a professional manner, and be comfortable working with cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Work Experience: Some veterinary experience preferred but not required
Education: Candidate must have graduated from high school; some post-high school education preferred (i.e. college, technical school, certification, etc)
