Plant closed, hundreds without jobs
Class 7 Clean Room Lead Operator (Former Employee), Montgomery, PA –
Pros: catered dinner, and benefits available to full time employees
Cons: short breaks, long days, continuous standing, and walking on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day.
I enjoyed the time I worked at West Company in Montgomery PA. Unfortunately, the plant closed and many people were without jobs. I enjoyed knowing that we helped manufacture important plastic and silicone products that could help people or make people's lives more easier.

Cons: you are treated like you are nothing.
Working with the operators was good. People where friendly. The management never talked to the people and if they did, it was to let them know what they did wrong. You where required to work 12 hours a day, 5 days a week and a 6th day every other week. Management made it clear that they did not care about the people. When a disaster destroyed the company, they took care of the employees real well, with understandable compensation and helped us get back on our feet and back in the work force.
