Best Job Ever
Laboratory Worker (Current Employee) –  Exton, PAFebruary 2, 2017
In the beginning there is a lot to learn, however the management and training team give all of the time and support needed to quickly adapt you to your job. All benefits packages are "Personal Choice" and very inexpensive. The upper management is very approachable and quite easy to talk to. They actually listen to their employees and take their opinions seriously.
Pros
GREAT work/life balance, incredible benefits, amazing management. Flexible schedule (which is great when you have kids)
Cons
I really can't think of any.

Awful Management
Compounder (Former Employee) –  Saint Petersburg, FLNovember 8, 2016
The company does not put you in a position to succeed. Poor communication from management. Management and HR are in bed together, so there is no safe place to talk about problems or issues about job or management. The pay is great but there is a reason why they have a high turnover rate.
Pros
Salary and Heathcare
Cons
Everything else

Horrible place to work. They treat you like c.r.a.p, and who wants to work 12 hours every Saturday and sunday. There is little to no advancement and the team leaders are a joke
Pros
Cant think of any

Sr. R&D Lab Technician (Former Employee) –  Exton, PAFebruary 5, 2015
Very busy R&D group, focused on new product development for Plungers and Vial stoppers. I learned a lot about rubber compounding and mixing. Management tends to lack knowledge of areas in which they control and leads to miscommunication on projects. The company pays well, but tends to lay off people for no real reason.
Pros
Good pay and benefits, great employees
Cons
Management, Nepotism, layoffs

Plant closed, hundreds without jobs
Class 7 Clean Room Lead Operator (Former Employee) –  Montgomery, PAMarch 4, 2012
I enjoyed the time I worked at West Company in Montgomery PA. Unfortunately, the plant closed and many people were without jobs. I enjoyed knowing that we helped manufacture important plastic and silicone products that could help people or make people's lives more easier.
Pros
catered dinner, and benefits available to full time employees
Cons
short breaks, long days, continuous standing, and walking on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day.

Molder (Former Employee) –  Jersey Shore PANovember 12, 2013
I recently was left go from West Pharmaceuticals in Jersey Shore PA after only three weeks. At the time I was in their "training program" which was a joke! I was training to be a molder by a team of trainers who engaged us in little hands on training & a lot of trivia games and silly team building exercises. You're made to stand during training because you will stand during most of your 12 hour shift which I find borderline inhumane. If you want to stand for hours on end performing a dreary task while losing your will to live this gig's for you.
Pros
Decent benefits
Cons
Horrible hours, dreary working conditions & mediocre pay

Machine Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) –  Williamsport, PASeptember 16, 2014
Good jobs in a very clean environment. Air conditioned during the summer and comfortably warm in the winter. I wear a t-shirt year around. There is some disconnect between management and the labor force. Co-workers are very friendly and supportive. I can honestly say that it is the best job I have ever had.
Pros
Benifits and good pay
Cons
Weekend shift and working holidays.

Bad place to work
Floor supervisor (Former Employee) –  ClearwaterFebruary 29, 2012
Working with the operators was good. People where friendly. The management never talked to the people and if they did, it was to let them know what they did wrong. You where required to work 12 hours a day, 5 days a week and a 6th day every other week. Management made it clear that they did not care about the people. Management made the people feel small and unimportant.
Pros
pay
Cons
you are treated like you are nothing.
