Sr. R&D Lab Technician (Former Employee) – Exton, PA – February 5, 2015
Very busy R&D group, focused on new product development for Plungers and Vial stoppers. I learned a lot about rubber compounding and mixing. Management tends to lack knowledge of areas in which they control and leads to miscommunication on projects. The company pays well, but tends to lay off people for no real reason.
Machine Maintenance Technician (Current Employee) – Williamsport, PA – September 16, 2014
Good jobs in a very clean environment. Air conditioned during the summer and comfortably warm in the winter. I wear a t-shirt year around. There is some disconnect between management and the labor force. Co-workers are very friendly and supportive. I can honestly say that it is the best job I have ever had.
Everything that's wrong with corporations West Pharm embodies.
Molder (Former Employee) – Jersey Shore PA – November 12, 2013
I recently was left go from West Pharmaceuticals in Jersey Shore PA after only three weeks. At the time I was in their "training program" which was a joke! I was training to be a molder by a team of trainers who engaged us in little hands on training & a lot of trivia games and silly team building exercises. You're made to stand during training because you will stand during most of your 12 hour shift which I find borderline inhumane. If you want to stand for hours on end performing a dreary task while losing your will to live this gig's for you.
horrible hours, dreary working conditions & mediocre pay

Class 7 Clean Room Lead Operator (Former Employee) – Montgomery, PA – March 4, 2012
I enjoyed the time I worked at West Company in Montgomery PA. Unfortunately, the plant closed and many people were without jobs. I enjoyed knowing that we helped manufacture important plastic and silicone products that could help people or make people's lives more easier.
catered dinner, and benefits available to full time employees
short breaks, long days, continuous standing, and walking on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day.
Floor supervisor (Former Employee) – Clearwater – February 29, 2012
Working with the operators was good. People where friendly. The management never talked to the people and if they did, it was to let them know what they did wrong. You where required to work 12 hours a day, 5 days a week and a 6th day every other week. Management made it clear that they did not care about the people. Management made the people feel small and unimportant.
