Great Place to work.
CLINICAL CARE COORDINATOR (Current Employee), Morgantown, WVApril 23, 2014
As a previous employee of 12.5 years, and now a returning employee of 14 months. Has enabled me to appreciate my, " my work home." I previously moved from an ED Nurse to a Clinical Care Coordinator for the Emergency Department. Management made the transition as smooth as possible. I enjoy working with patients and making a difference in every and any – more... life I may touch. WVU Healthcare has been a tremendous facility that promotes growth within their company. I would recommend to anyone. – less

A very large teaching hospital with the atmosphere of a small close-knit community
Utilization Review/Clinical Care Coordinator (Current Employee), Morgantown, WVJanuary 13, 2013
Pros: opportunities for growth and diversification of medical career, more than adequate benefits, flexible work schedules and telecommuting for ur nurses.
Cons: parking can be difficult, some "clunky" departmental processes, inadequate staffing at times
From the first day of employment, the learning and growth opportunities have been constant and everyone works together to promote consistency and continuity in the work flow. If I wasn't moving 950 miles away, this is a place where I would elect to stay through the remainder of my career. The electronic medical record is nearly paperless, enabling Care – more... Management staff to access the complete record on one seamless system (EPIC) which is also integrated in the Allscripts application used for for all care management activities. The modes of communication throughout the hospital are very efficient and well utilized by all staff. In addition, encouragement and praise for a job well done are never in short supply. – less

Administrative Resident (Former Employee), Morgantown, WVJune 4, 2012
Juggled multiple projects at once with success. Learned how to cope with deadlines and issues coming from multiple sources.
• Successfully externally marketed Allied Linen Services to hospitals outside of WVUHC's market • Researched and personally demonstrated with behavioral assessment vendors with the intent of improving staff
turnover, and focus – more... on fit and patient-centered care. Committee accepted recommended vendor and product was
budgeted and implemented hospital-wide • Improved patient flow, reduced cancellation rates, and assisted in the creation of standardized protocols in the Pre-
Admission Unit • Improved hospital-wide infection control practices; specified items not being cleaned by staff, conducted time studies,
and quantified amount of FTE’s needed to appropriately staff for additional workload – less
