The Outpatient Clinic for Adult Health Care Services at the Westchester Institute for Human Development is seeking an Appointment Clerk to be responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, greeting and checking in clients/patients with developmental disabilities upon arrival to the outpatient clinic. This includes clerical tasks related to the operation of the unit.
Responsibilities include greeting clients, checking in clients and managing client activities using electronic medical records. Answer telephone calls, make appointments, verifying client insurance authorizations, cancelling and rescheduling appointments as per manager instructions. In addition, perform a variety of related routine duties in support of medical staff, as required.
High School or equivalency diploma and one year of prior phone or customer service experience preferred in a health care facility involving patient or public contact. Experience using CureMD and EPaces preferred but not required.
Scheduled Days & Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:30-4:30
