(Unified) is a retailer-owned, grocery wholesale cooperative serving supermarket, specialty and convenience store operators located in the western United States and the South Pacific. The Company’s customers include its owners (Members) and non-owners (non-members). Unified report all product sales in the Wholesale Distribution segment. It also provides support services to the customers through separate subsidiaries, including insurance and financing. Insurance activities are reported in the Insurance segment while finance activities are grouped within the All Other business activities. The Company has purchased certain assets and assumed certain liabilities of Associated Grocers, Incorporated and its subsidiaries (AG).
