108 year old firm with integrated architecture, engineering, and technology design services is seeing a Manager of Mechancial Engineering for its Cleveland, Ohio studio.
Responsible for weekly scheduling and assigning staff to projects. Includes coordination with Director of Engineering and Project Directors to ensure proper allocation of staff, in a timely fashion, as it relates to the projects requirements and budget. Identifies staff deficiencies and seeks potential candidates; Enforces and maintains engineering standards; Responsible for QA/QC for mechanical engineering; performs the functions of a Lead Engineer, which include project management, project engineering, and project design leadership; Demonstrates a high level of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in the design and planning of projects; Maximizes time at the beginning of projects to define scope, define quality, establish budgets, promotes integration and develops design approaches; Assits the firm in marketing and business development efforts with major emphasis on client contract; Assures a positive teamwork atmosphere and assists in supporting the development and retention of quality staff including training/development/mentoring; Maintains successful client relationships for repeat business;
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, Master's Degree preferred; 12+ years experience; Strong working relationship with clients and consultants; Basic AutoCAD and Revit/Building Information Management (BIM) MEP knowledg; Ability to direct, mentor and coordinate work efforts of project team; Collaborative and professional work ethic; Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written including client presentation skills.
Registered professional engineer (PE); registration in multiple states preferred; LEED AP accreditation
