a place that i would not advise anyone to seek employment.
midwest regional truck driver (Former Employee), Green Bay, WIDecember 21, 2013
Cons: just a bad place to be employed if you want an upstanding company to work for.
West Side Transport was a company that i would not recommend to any one due to uncaring culture towards the drivers. companied take miles from drivers that were driven and distribute to dispatchers. the company made promises of so many miles to get drivers interested and hired and then fail on all promised made. in the trucking industry miles driver are how income is made and to make such promises and fail on those promised on purpose are a major concern. the company also showed no loyalty to drivers.

An average place to work. Nothing outstanding about it.
Driver (Current Employee), Cedar Rapids, IADecember 5, 2012
Pros: decent newer equipment
Cons: typical trucking stuff: no holiday pay, truck breaks down you lose money, insurance costs too much for too little
A new manager is all about saving $ but as usual it is done at drivers expense. They are turning trucks down from 63 mph to 61. Don't know how you are to make any money when you can't get anywhere at that rate. Fuel bonus is based on a scale that changes month to month so you are never sure what you should try to hit. Driver mgrs. don't have any real power to change things when you have customer problems in part because one customer is about 60% of their business and they don't want to upset them.

Very Ruthless Management and Overall Culture
Driver (Former Employee), Short Midwest RunsFebruary 24, 2011
They are very bad with Wage Theft, wrongful termination, and cancelling health insurance. Before anyone considers employment with these folks, make sure to check what other drivers have reported on the various truck driver message boards on the Net.
