Good School District for students, families and employees
Classroom Teacher (Former Employee) –  Lancaster, CASeptember 12, 2017
Westside Unintuitive School District is one of the best run school Districts in Los Angeles County. It offers the students a broader education base and advanced studies. The families are more involved with their children due to their higher economic status than other school districts in the Antelope Valley.

Middle School AVID Tutor (Current Employee) –  Quartz Hill, CAApril 12, 2016
If you are thinking about becoming a teacher and have zero experience, becoming an AVID tutor would be a great idea. You are introduced into the classroom, you get one on one time with the kids, overall you get to feel what it would be like to teach inside a classroom with 25-30 students.

Fun classroom and amazing teacher
Instructional Aide II - Quartz Hill Elementary (Former Employee) –  Lancaster, CADecember 6, 2014
The best part of my job was working as a one on one aide for a child with disabilities. He taught me to be more patient and to be more understanding.

A typical day at work consisted of shadowing my student and making sure he was being safe and not hurting himself or the other children in the classroom. Assisting the teacher with setting up the classroom and crafts for the children.
Pros
Work schedule worked around my kids school schedule; Holiday's and summer off.
Cons
No disability pay, office staff was often rude with the aides, pay did not match responsibilities of the aides.

a typical day at work is coming in prepping the food then serving the children and there is not much time to mingle with eachother because its so busy. i love seeing the children and their face expressions when we have something new on the menu. there is no hard part to the job!
